Europe Region | Webinar on demand! Mapping the status of physiotherapy in Mental Health across Europe: insights, challenges and barriers

The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held a webinar for its Member Organisations and stakeholders on the status of physiotherapy in Mental Health across Europe.

On Monday 4 May 2026, a webinar was held for the Member Organisations of Europe Region, which aimed to present key findings from the survey “Physiotherapy in Mental Health across the Europe Region”. The online seminar explored the current status of the profession within mental health, highlighting its level of integration, existing challenges, and developments in both service provision and education across Europe. These insights are meant to support member organisations in their national advocacy efforts and contribute to strategic planning at the regional level to further strengthen the profession.

The second part of the event focused on advocacy and lobbying for physiotherapy in mental health. It addressed common challenges and barriers, and offered practical strategies and actionable ideas to guide future advocacy initiatives and advance the role of physiotherapy in mental health care.

The event brought together representatives of the Europe Region’s Member Organisations and the recording is now available on our YouTube channel!
